Modern home decor

Are you still sticking to that “same old” faded living room wall paper? Your home reflects your personality and taste. So, let’s add spark to our boring home. Here are few handy tips to get into the color of modern home decor.

To start with, the most striking factor in your home, is your walls and floor. Paint up your walls. Select walls papers in pastel shades or light floral prints. While floral prints are in vogue pastel shades is an eternal favorite.Colors can however change depending on the season. Warm shades such as green, brown, red, orange or any tones of earthy blushes add to the warmth of the room, cream, beige, and yellow are the favorite colors for the summers.

Match your carpets with the wall paper, or else you can go in for some good dark shades.

Pay attention on your drapes. Bright cheerful drapes add to the beauty of the room. Once again, make sure the designs and colors are not an extreme contrast to your walls.

Adjacent to your walls and floors is your furniture. Though you can hardly make much alteration, you can discard your obsolete piece of wood or plastic and make some new additions. Multipurpose furniture with a modern touch can breathe in the modern trend to your home decor. You can decorate them with multiple covers and accessories, such as cushion, rugs and sculptures .

Whatever is your theme of embellishment; your shack must look cozy and have plenty of internal space. Before the celebrations begin and the turkey is set on the oven, give your home a brand new modern look.

“It’s hard to damage and simple to care” pointed out Ninja, my interior designer friend. Actually, couple of days back Ninja and I over a cup of coffee had a long discussion on Color Laminated Flooring. Color Laminated Flooring is a hot favorite among many for its contemporary feel besides adding an extra dimension to any room. It can cheer up even the darkest of rooms making it feel brighter cleaner and airier.

You need not have to master the skill of interior decoration to install the correct flooring. Just follow three simple but effective steps to incorporate laminated flooring in your house hold:

1. Require reliable floor

You need a reliable floor which should be strong enough to bear the weight of the laminated floor. Absence of a reliable floor will quickly result in the degradation of the flooring.

2. Apply good quality adhesive solution

The adhesive solution should be properly applied in between the sub floor and the laminated floor. Make sure that the adhesive material should be of good quality otherwise the laminated floor will soon be destroyed.

3. Neatly placement of laminated slabs

The laminated floor should be neatly placed. Precision should be taken while placing the slabs. The slabs should be connected with each other and no space should be left in between.

These steps will definitely add beauty and new look to your house. So the next time you decide to change the flooring of your house, think about the color laminated flooring. Adorn your floor with color laminates and watch your friends gasp “wow”. Now you know why my friend suggested nothing but color laminated flooring!
